I have a space on my kitchen counter next to the stove with no electrical sockets. i have a makeshift entertainment center that i have all my games, movies,tv ext...all on this dinning room table.i have an empty space where a phone table should go,and nothing there, but it is high traffic.my bathroom only has a sink,no counter, and my bedroom has only a dresser with all of my makeup on top. this is just a renter, but im looking to decorate for the holidays and i have no space anywhere! well i have the space just not the shelving, tables, ext... what cheap creative ways can i put the christmas spirit in my home?

How mush elbow grease are you willing to put in? My first instinct would be camoflauge: meaning get some hat box (seperate lid) type boxes and cover them in gift wrap (covering the lid seperately so that they can still be opened) and take all the movies, games ect, you least likely to want and place them inside. If you make graduated size boxes you can stack them in "empty" spots and create lots of room for display.

As for the bathroom, a stacked basket organizer or over the toilet shelving could help with storage needs.

ribbon and a few bells do lots for door knobs.
even small ones for cabinet pulls.

    or beads and ribbon.
Add ribbons or beads from your drapes.

You could hang miniature artificial trees from the walls, just flatten the back side.

Large boxes wrapped in Christmas paper make nice stands, not so delicate pieces.

wrapping pictures up like presents and hanging back on walls.

accenting the lamp shades, candy dishes with nuts and candy, cookies.

collect pine cones and stack in or lay with a ribbon in places, end of book shelves.

Put away any things that are not necessary for the holidays. replace with holiday decor.
    Hang christmas tea towels.
    adding some cinnamon,peppermint, scent..

    decorate archways(doorways),tops of cabinets.
I feel it is just as important for scents, and sounds as much as visual.
So use all in your choices.
Must be why i like the bells,I remember as a child down town watching the horse drawn carriages and bells on the horses jingling.

It’s really hard to envision all this without pictures but how about hanging Christmas decorations? You can also get a small storage for your bathroom or kitchen and take some stuff off counters to decorate for various occasions. Most the stuff can be found at walmart, sears or even moving sales or second hand stores. All you’d need would be paint and you can decorate however you like after :)
