Makeup storage and organization tips?
Hi! I am looking for a new way to store my makeup, curling/straightening irons, nail polish, and nail care stuff. I have so much and it is hard to find a way to organize it in a way that is convenient but cute. I just cleaned it all out so please don't recommend getting rid of everything. I currently am keeping my makeup in a rolling cart of 4 shallow drawers and 1 deeper drawer. It isn't enough! I have all of my hair stuff in a bathroom drawer and my nail stuff in a decorative box. Everything is just thrown in the drawers and boxes and i find myself having to spend a lot of time trying to find a certain product or item. Please help me! What are some good ideas to store everything in a smaller area? Should i get a vanity? Shelving? More drawers?......etc! Any tips are welcome! Thanks!

if your going to spend money on a vanity I would just get a DESK then put a mirror on it or on the wall in front of it..because my vanity (and most I have seen) only have one drawer so a desk would have several and be more efficent..but I have draws(like ones for scrabbooks..4 of them stacked high and thts for my glosses and lipsticks and sponges..then a cup for my brushes(go to youtube and look up sephora inspired brush holder) then the most efficent thing I got wash a nail polish rack!!OFF EBAY..now not only does it work for nail polish..but also is perfect for pigments and shadow(I have one you hang on the wall) but the ones that set on a counter would be good for compact blushes too I would hang a shelf on the wall for hair stuff or I have some baskets I got from michaels(3 for 14bucks) then one jar of paint(4bucks)was enough to paint them and keep my brushes and comb in one and hairspray gels ect in the bigger one(I HAVE SO MUCH STUFF I KNOW lol
but I find the shelves and nail polish racks are best because with drawers you do have to dig a lot but I have organizaer in my drawes so it makes it easier(use silverware oragnizer!!)
go to walmart and look in office and kitchen section there is so much you can use to organize makeup there!
EDIT((although I have 100s of items like glosses and shadow my face products foundation,powder ect. I use the same most days so I keep them out in a cute little candle holder I found at the dollar store))its shaped like a heart
I advise you to buy so many baskets and share your tricks

there for office but you can use them for makeup…
they have different sizes
and you can organize everything in different drawers so its not all scattered around
you can get a nail polish rack also if you wanna use something other than a box
im not sure where you get those, but i cant imagine there hard to find.
you might need a few but they work well

NailPolish – I use mine in a Carrying case ! Its actually glass but its not that heavy and its great for traveling because there is a handle on it.
Makeup – Try Getting A makeup bag that fits your makeup ! I suggest go to ‘Walmart’ or a drugstore &look to see if they have any makeup bags, buy one you think will fit your makeup, try it out. if it doesnt, return it ! Or what I use is a carrying case (iforgot what its called), but its by ‘Caboodles’ its a Makeup box like and its purple ! It has one big area, one that folds open with a mirror and a little side part for brushes ! I got mine from a friend, but she told me where she got it from.
Hair Items,Straightners ETC – I would go with Drawers ! maybe even to put everything in it ! try lookinq around for cheap (less than $10) plastic drawers
