We are moving from a house with 2 bedrooms, living room, sunroom ( we used for storage), laundry room, kitchen, 1 bathroom and a lot of shelving and a garage....to a small apartment with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom and bathroom. No storage and not too much shelving. I need tiops on how to get rid of some stuff and organize what we are keeping. We are sorta clutterbugs....not really pack rats yet though...lol. ( we are NOT dirty though....just have a lot of stuff). We have 2 kids ( boy 3 and girl 8 mos) and my hubby and I. There is a front porch we will share with the upstairs tenant. Thank you!
There is no room for a kitchen table as well....any ideas on that? We have been setting up a card table nightly....but that gets old....lol.

We are moving because we have to and we are downsizing because the rent is cheaper than the bigger places and we are trying to save up some to buy a small place of our own.

  1. Nurse says:

I had to do that myself recently. I keep a lot of things in boxes. I discovered a lot of unnecessary paper stuff that ia m now going through and shredding.
    That would clear up stuff.
I improvise on shelving, and storage places, but mainly I keep everything I will definitely need in boxes, and labeled.
There’s a book that inspires me a lot, written by the Queen of Clean, you can check it out at the library. beats buying a book
and get tips from there. Just do a search on the Queen of Clean, you’ll find what you need.
Anyhoo… you need to take the kids out a lot more, so that they don’t get claustrophobic.
I know it’s rent and all, but if you could come up with a way to get one of those flip tables, that you can attach to the wall, and put it down by the wall when you’re done with it, that’s a plus. Other than that I would suggest the folding tables that you can seat by the couch. and then store behind it.
Really check out that book, you’ll get ideas. Good luck!
