You don't have to spend a lot of money to set up a closet organizing system. The biggest challenge you'll face is taking an inventory of all your belongings, and figuring out your closet habits. Once you have this information the fun begins. If you get creative and do some planning, you can create a closet organizing system that is easy to maintain.

Start with taking a look at what is currently in your closet. Take a look at the close you have. If they no longer fit, or you find clothes that you haven't worn in a year, either throw them out, donate them, or pack them away.

With the stuff that you have left, you will want to come up with an organized system. This will depend on your closet habits. You can group your close together by colors, by types of clothing, or by outfits.

After you have placed your close back in the closet take a look around your home for baskets and bins that can be used in the closet to organize your smaller things. Bins and baskets are great for storing things like sweaters which cannot be hung hangers.

You can also use affordable shelving units and brackets. These can be found at your neighborhood hardware store and will not cost a lot of money. Mounting an extra shelving unit in your closet is not only affordable, but quick and easy to set up.

Setting up a closet organizing system does not have to cost a lot of money. Work with what you have around the house. Use some of those plastic bins or baskets to help organize the smaller things in your closet. Purchasing a simple piece of pine wood and a couple brackets is a great way to add an extra shelf in the closet and an expensive price.

Closet shelving does not have to cost a lot of money if you get creative.

Many of us fall into the trap of closet stuffing. But the joke is on us. When we go to find something that we need out of the closet we are filled with dread.

What if you could open up your closet and have everything all nice and tidy all the time? Wouldn't be nice to be able to take a peak inside and know exactly where everything is?

There are many different types of closet shelving systems on the market. You can spend a lot or you can spend a little. It just depends on what you want and of course for some of us, our wallets. If you build it yourself, not only can you save money but you can come up with a system that fits your needs perfectly.

Before you run off to the hardware store you need to have a plan. You should get out a list and write down what it is that you actually store in your closet. Do you have a ton of shoes, or maybe you have a collection of sweaters that need to be folded and not hung on a hanger.

You next step is to take measurements of your closet. Get the dimensions written down and then draw out a diagram of how you want your closet to be set up. Sketch out hanging space, shelf space, drawers, cabinets and so on.

You also need to decide between wire closet shelving or other shelving types like wood or plastic. I prefer wire closet shelving myself as it is light weight, easy to work with and you can add on to it or change it at a whim. Also, if you are the kind of person that moves a lot you should go with wire shelving so that it is easy to remove and take with you.
