You don't have to spend a lot of money to set up a closet organizing system. The biggest challenge you'll face is taking an inventory of all your belongings, and figuring out your closet habits. Start with taking a look at what is currently in your closet. Take a look at the close you have. If they no longer fit, or you find clothes that you haven't worn in a year, either throw them out, donate them, or pack them away.

With the stuff that you have left, you will want to come up with an organized system. This will depend on your closet habits. You can group your close together by colors, by types of clothing, or by outfits.

After you have placed your close back in the closet take a look around your home for baskets and bins that can be used in the closet to organize your smaller things. Bins and baskets are great for storing things like sweaters which cannot be hung hangers.

You can also use affordable shelving units and brackets. These can be found at your neighborhood hardware store and will not cost a lot of money. Mounting an extra shelving unit in your closet is not only affordable, but quick and easy to set up.

Setting up a closet organizing system does not have to cost a lot of money. Work with what you have around the house. Use some of those plastic bins or baskets to help organize the smaller things in your closet. Purchasing a simple piece of pine wood and a couple brackets is a great way to add an extra shelf in the closet and an expensive price.
