Closet Shelving – Exactly The Way You Want It

Many of us fall into the trap of closet stuffing. But the joke is on us. When we go to find something that we need out of the closet we are filled with dread.
What if you could open up your closet and have everything all nice and tidy all the time? Wouldn't be nice to be able to take a peak inside and know exactly where everything is?
There are many different types of closet shelving systems on the market. You can spend a lot or you can spend a little. It just depends on what you want and of course for some of us, our wallets. If you build it yourself, not only can you save money but you can come up with a system that fits your needs perfectly.
Before you run off to the hardware store you need to have a plan. You should get out a list and write down what it is that you actually store in your closet. Do you have a ton of shoes, or maybe you have a collection of sweaters that need to be folded and not hung on a hanger.
You next step is to take measurements of your closet. Get the dimensions written down and then draw out a diagram of how you want your closet to be set up. Sketch out hanging space, shelf space, drawers, cabinets and so on.
You also need to decide between wire closet shelving or other shelving types like wood or plastic. I prefer wire closet shelving myself as it is light weight, easy to work with and you can add on to it or change it at a whim. Also, if you are the kind of person that moves a lot you should go with wire shelving so that it is easy to remove and take with you.
