Where is the best place to buy some cabinets to be installed in the laundry room?

The builder charges over a thousand dollars to have upper cabinets installed over the washer/dryer... and I think we can buy the cabinets and do it ourselves for less $$$$. Has anyone else done this? Are there any online resources? Thanks!

you can get cabinets at nearly any home center and some utility storage at some walmart stores. installing them is very simple. all you will need is a drill, and some other basic tools like a level and a stud finder. if the cabinet has a sturdy back simply put a washer on a wood screw to help disperse the load on the screw and screw it throuch the back of the cabinet into a stud. use one on top and one on the bottom. try to hit each stud behind the cabinet if you can and use hollow wall anchores if you cant. every 16" for the screws should be fine. if the cabinet has a flimsier backing on it cut a strip of wood to fit inside the cabinet across the top at the back of the cabinet. screw through this and the backing of the cabinet into the wall. something a 1/4" thick by 1-2" high will work fine. by the way a $1000 to install 6′ of cabinets is absurd $25-50 per running foot of cabinet is normally how much we charge for cabinet installs

Home Depot has a good selection of cabinets that you put together yourself. I build my own boxes then buy the finish doors at Home Depot and mount them on. I did the laundry room in my house for a lower cabinets and the uppers for about $450.00 this was along an 8ft wall
