I have been with my boyfriend for 3 1/2 years now, and we have been living together for 2 1/2 years. and lately we have been arguing for little things, like i would ask him of something and it would become a big deal, i did all the shelving of snow because his attitude his so frustrating to work with, and things that must get done in the house, like mow the lawn, and return the bottles, wash the clothes, clean the dishes and bathroom, stuff that i do not mind doing, except i cant do it all by myself all the time because i work and go to school, especially when he works part time, doesn't go school and is constantly on his phone and computer for hours. and again it would be fine with me, he can do what he wants, but when i do ask he become defense and i regret asking in the first place i cant do it any more i need help and help that understands and doesn't mind doing what has to get done.

Ok- so we had a plumbing issue in the bathroom and had to rip out some of our walls. After we put sheetrock back up, I would like to install white beadboard or wainscotting around the room, but I would really like the chair rail molding to have a slight surface to it (so place small decorative items). I've seen a gazillion pictures online, but I can't find any reasonable, SIMPLE ways to do this. Can you buy just a chair rail thats wide enough at top to do this, or am I going to have to buy a molding to meet the paneling, then add a piece of "shelving" type board, and then a qtr round or something else to cover that seam? From looking at the pictures, I can't figure out what kind of materials are being used. Here is a picture of what I'd like:

We are remodeling our bathroom, and are replacing an old window in the bathtub/shower area with a recessed area for shelves. Instead of trying to tile the entire 3ft x 3ft window hole, I decided to paint a mural of a marine aquarium. This mural, when complete, would have to be polyurethaned to protect the paint (latex paint), & would need to be further protected from the water & steam generated in the tub/shower by having a piece of glass, plastic or plexiglass (or some other substance) on top of it. A lot of sealing would have to be done to ensure no moisture could reach the mural - including through the holes that will have to be drilled for the shelves (also glass).

The requirements that I can think of for this substance to cover the mural, whatever it might be, are as follows:
- must be clear and remain clear (no darkening as it ages)
- must not be easily scratched (by all cleaners if possible, abrasive or not)
- must not sweat when sealed properly

FYI - the mural cover will not need to support the weight of the shelves. There is a frame support behind the wallboard used for the mural - this will be used to support the shelving. We just don't want the glass or other material to crack either while drilling the 4 holes needed, or to crack during it's lifetime (or at least as long as we own this house - say the next 15 to 20 years).
The mural is on a 3 ft X 3 ft piece of 'green-board' (wall-board used for bathrooms and anywhere else water may be near a wall).

Hello
I would love to paint my living room and bedroom and need help with painting colours.
My living room

I have a hunter green couch black coffee and end tables and entertainment center
Hunter green valance and black blinds

My bedroom
Is black firnature with stainless steal knobs. I was going to wrap my box spring in red and put black sheets on my bed! I was going to look for either a black and red comforter or black and grey. But I can go with a different color If anyone has any good ideas.
If you can maybe provide links that would be great.

Also my living room leads to up stairs what should I do carry the living room color into the up stairs and the hallway up stairs? Or can I go with a different color that would look good off the living room?

Bathroom

White cabnets
A greenish blue counter top
Med brown tile in the shower and beige tile on the floor.
I also have 3 stained med brown wood pieces in the bathroom for shelving.

If you can provide links to the colors that would be great

Hello Super Sexy, Thanks for your reply. I am so happy to hear your neck problem is better. Today I had to stay home from work because Nessa woke up ill with a fever. By about 9:00am I was also pretty sick, so we've both laid around much of the day. Sore throat & aches, sore eyeballs, nothing too major. We were well enough to make a run to Biscuitville and get a late breakfast nonetheless. While at home one of the repair people came by and fixed the upstairs sink. The problem with both the oven and dishwasher were both determined, but the man who came did not have the tools to fix. The diswasher's "drain solenoid" is stuck open, thereby letting all the wash water out instead of keeping it inside the chamber for the wash cycle. And as imagined, the problem with the oven is indeed the thermostat. He said they might have to bring a new oven because the cost to repair this one is more than the oven is worth. That would be awesome to get a new one. I've taken down the shelves & vanity cabinet from your new room and have patched the holes in the wall, to prep for painting. I patched some holes in the bathroom as well where an old towel bar used to be that I took down when I moved in (to make room for the over-toilet organizer.) I think a new towel bar in the bathroom will not be needed because I've gotten hooks for towels that hang over mine & Nessa's bedroom door. That also keeps the towels separate for sanitary reasons (not that anybody is dirty, but it is always nice to have a towel to yourself.) I am still working on the organization of downstairs-- Nessa has a lot of toys & art supplies, and I have more books than I realized. I have moved stuff around several times to negotiate what might be the final layout. I think ultimately I will have to get some shelving for the overflow, which I picture being on the wall where the stairs meet, being out of the way of the main living space. The shared closet spaces downstairs are fully organized and I have 1/3 to 1/2 of the space opened up for your belongings. I am particularly happy with Nessa/my room, in fact I can hardly resist laying on the bed everytime I go in there and just take in the sense of relaxation. The pink color has a suprisingly strong relaxing effect. I made some "curtain" pieces from fabric to cover the front of one of the white pressboard organizers, and I might make curtains for the other ones too. I'm going to get another picture frame or too for some of Nessa's artwork and photos, as opposed to thumbtacking them to the wall as I had done previously. It looks neater when the art is actually in frames. Hope to make a trip to Home Depot or Lowe's sometime this weekend. Anyway, there is the update of how the house is going, and I hope you've had a nice day. I guess it is your day off? Well, looking forward to hearing how you are doing. Miss you a lot. Love Pumpkin

I have a new roommate who is moving in December 1, 2009.

Since you are not paying rent for the month of December the Apartment must be vacant by 3PM on December 1, 2009.
To assure your full deposit, the apartment must be in the same condition as the day you moved in. I spent Sunday cleaning the whole apartment so this should take you both no more than 15 minutes.

•Kitchen, bathroom and pantry must be clean
-This includes no dishes in the sink.
-Any refrigerator/cupboard shelves or drawer you used needs to be emptied and wiped out.
-The stove needs to be clean.
-Hair and toiletries are to be cleaned out of the shelving the microwave sits upon.
-All of the hair and facial hair from razors needs to be cleaned off of the sink.
-When you move your bottles and soap wipe the bath cubbies out this is a brand new shower wall.
-The table is to be wiped down.
-
•Bedrooms must be completely empty other than Direct TV boxes, the remotes, and instructions.
-EVERY SINGLE OUNCE of trash you produce at move out needs to be bagged and taken out of the apartment, there are blue bins out back for your trash, so place it there. DO NOT LEAVE TRASH IN THE BACK HALLWAY.
-Bedroom #2 must be painted for full security deposit.
-When you moved in your rooms were completely empty minus the curtains and hardware, I’d like it to be empty.
•KEYS MUST BE PLACED ON THE KITCHEN TABLE UPON MOVE OUT. NO KEYS NO SECURITY DEPOSIT.

Kelly: You told me you owed Dana money if you would like your security deposit to be given to Dana you must:
Leave me a Signed and dated letter giving me permission to give your security deposit to Dana.

Dana and Kelly: You must leave me legible forwarding addresses for your security deposits place these with your keys.

In all I need 2 cable boxes, 2 remotes, 2 sets of instructions, 4 keys, 2 addresses and a clean apartment.

If you lived anywhere else it would be mandatory you cleaned the whole apartment to obtain full deposit. I did 90% of the work for you.
I think we can all be respectable adults for the next day and a half.

Can anyone make this look a little more "proper" I am so upset I cant even think they trashed my apartment while i was on vacation so bad it took me 2 days to clean.....

I had these for about 6 mos before I figured out they were coming mainly from the cupboard where we store our dog food, but after fumigating the entire house, then cleaning with Clorox(Checked my cupboards close, the peg holes to adjust the shelving...mine are sealed with nest?) and throwing away all opened packages, and have storing everything in sealed containers, they are back after 2 weeks. Not to the extreme they were before, but slowly coming back, and not just in the kitchen, they are in my upstairs bathroom, the living room... I have cathedral ceilings, and wonder if the fumigator wasn't concentrated enough due to this fact, so I am going to give it another go, double dose, and hope it works for good this time. All steps, again! SO tiresome. Once it is all cleared up maybe I will feel like I can eat cereal again. Yucky, little buggers! Gross me right out.
Does anyone else have any ideas on how to kill them out for good?
Dog food is cuurently in a sealed container, and will continue to be stored this way.

Just wondering exactly how out of date our area hospital here is (it's the only one hospital for 70 miles, I live in the rural midwest). When I went into the hospital to be induced, I was put in a labor room - this consisted of a small, white tile hospital room that was shared with another patient, with a curtain separating the 2 beds, which were so close I could have reached out and touched the bedrail of the gal on the other side of the curtain next to me, and a shared bathroom with a toilet and a small standup shower. Next, they wheeled me into the delivery room, which was more or less a small white-tile operating room, complete w/ stainless steel counters and shelving, after I delivered my daughter, they wheeled me into yet another room, a post partum room which was also a small white tile shared room with another patient - pretty much identical to the labor room. No whirl pools, no furnishings except the bed and a plastic chair, a toilet and standup shower. (continued below)
You went into the same surgery style delivery rooms (there are 4 of them at the hospital here) regardless if you were having a vaginal birth (which I had) or a c-section. Just wondering what the hospital experience was like for you where you had your baby. I had my daughter 2 years ago and baby #2 is due in March and needless to say, I am not looking forward to the hospital experience again....lol. Nothing like being in labor and having to wait to use the toilet in your room or having someone else in labor right next to you, especially when they have several people there with them - how humiliating!
Mystic: I would love to have my baby at home, but unfortunately I cannot carry to full term (due to medical complications), and so with every pregnancy, I have to be induced and monitored in a hospital (blech), my first was induced 3 weeks early and my doctor doesn't think he'll be able to wait that long for this one if things go the same way, which they are going! I would LOVE to though! lol! It would be wonderful!
Wow, I am seriously considering the 70 mile drive! lol! Just kidding... if only insurance covered it! lol! Thanks so much for your answers gals, it's really interesting and fun to hear what other places are like! lol!
Lisa: Wow! That is awsome! They wouldn't even allow me to eat for the whole 2 days I was in labor - ice chips was all I was allowed, and then after I had my daughter at 6:20 p.m., they wouldn't give me supper and all they offered at the hospital for breakfast the next day was a poached egg and apple juice - needless to say, I didin't eat breakfast either, and the meals over the next 2 days that followed were so disgusting looking - they looked like they had been dumped out of a plastic bag and deep fat fried - it was soooooooooooooo gross - I finally ate when I got home from the hospital after a 4 day stay - but hey, I lost most of my baby weight in the hospital...lol!

Hello Super Sexy,

Thanks for your reply.

That also keeps the towels separate for sanitary reasons (not that anybody is dirty, but it is always nice to have a towel to yourself.)

I am still working on the organization of downstairs-- Nessa has a lot of toys & art supplies, and I have more books than I realized.
